Howdy Friends, I'm so excited to report that I won a trip to Nashville next week. My favorite country music station 98.7FM WMZQ, held a contest called "The Apprentice". Loosly based on the tv show, they wanted to take a listener with them to Nashville to work as their "apprentice" for the huge CMA Musicfest. This is how the contest went, one of the djs does voices so for about 2 weeks listeners called in (had to be the ninth caller) and "interviewed" a "country artist" over the phone. Out of the many callers they selected 3 finalists who would come into the studio and interview a real country artist. That was on Wednesday 5/31/2006. We interviewed Sammy Kershaw and later found out that he helped make the final decision. So on Thurs 6/1 they called all of us and revealed the winner live, on air. So off the Nashville I go, to interview many, many country artists, and go to many country concerts, all in a few days in the capital of country music. Cowgirl Up!!
